Prayer List

If you know someone who is struggling with addiction and its results, I will be glad to post them here.  First names only and the circumstance will be noted and the date of the request.  When the answer come and know it will, send me the information how it was resolved and we’ll share this, too.  God answers prayers because that’s what got me to where I am today from a life of addiction(s).

Vikki – Who is being sent to prison on March 18 – Vikki is my goddaughter.  (Note: 3/18/09 — She got a reprieve. Apparently the Court was not prepared regarding her. (Note: 4/27/09 – I just learned Vikki is now in prison to serve out her sentence. (Note: 5/21/09 — I heard from Vikki and a friend. She is doing well and will begin to start using her poetry in my “Addict’s Devotional” for the bottom line. Let’s continue to pray for her and her son.), and for

Quincy – Her son, who I understand at the age of 12 has begun his journey toward addiction.  (Note: 5/28/09–I had an opportunity of speaking with Quincy, he calling me.  We shared our thoughts and ended with prayer.  This really made my night.  Please keep him in your prayers.

Philip – My extended-family brother who is involved in addiction.  Note:  I learned, 7/4/09 he is living with family and is working.  This is positive news!  Note: I got a chance to see Philip at a family get-together over the Labor Day Holiday.  He looks well, working and it was so good to see him.  Had to greet my brother with a warm hug when I first set eyes on him.

Johnnie – My NY Brother who is still “out there”.

Aimee Michael – Although she doesn’t fit in the categories this site ministers, she is in need of prayer.  Those of you outside Atlanta may not have heard of the horrific accident she was involved in and 5 people lost their lives.  I took the opportunity of writing her a letter of encouragement.  I am looking forward to hearing how God involved Himself in her life.  Note:  I received a reply from Aimee 5/7/09 and she seem in very good spirits despite what is in front of her and is unknown.  I hope to continue encouraging her, and you, because whatever has been placed before us there is a much higher reason for it.  God bless you, Sis. Aimee and your family.  Note 5/9/09 – Aimee is now home again.  Let’s continue to pray for her and her family.

Would like to offer prayer for Judy in Pennsylvania who is battling with illness.  She’s a beautiful woman with a gift of playing piano and singing who lost her sight in childhood.  We’re praying for you, Judy.

Just heard from a mother, Jackie, who is suffering and praying for her son, Tony.  Let’s pray for a soon resolve regarding his addiction.

This one is for me.  I wrote a letter to my mother requesting an opportunity to sit down and spend a day together.  We haven’t spoken in 20 years.  I just think it is time to reconcile and move past the pain of the pain.  I really would like to have a “Mom” again.  Please pray that I will hear positively from her and we can meet.

I learned a very dear friend, Bro. Chris Williamson of Newburgh is battling for his life from sickness.  I intend to visit him this week.  Let’s pray for his comfort and his contentedness with what the Lord is doing in his life.  (Note: I visited Chris July 20th and he’s in very good spirits.  Let’s continue to pray for him.”

"My husband name is John and we are in Dallas, TX" (John is suffering and battling crack addiction.  Let’s pray for him and his loving wife.)  Note:  I received a phone call, September 10,  from John who left a voice message saying he’s back to work and enjoying this life of clean-living.  I stay in contact with his wife, Darlene.  Much prayer is still needed.

Bernadette W. and her battle with MS.  Keep her in your prayers as she is the sister of Chris W. who I mentioned above.

A mother has requested her son, Micah, be added to the list needing prayer.  He’s suffering from drug addiction.  We’re hoping to hear about his victory–soon about overcoming and it is possible. (Note: She’s asked that Terry be added to the list, too, because of drug addiction. 9/27/09)

Joe’s asked for prayer for his son, Joe, who is going down the wrong path.  Let’s pray for deliverance and that he will soon be a witness of what God’s power can and will do in the life of a praying father.
