Ministry
This might be off-topic but it still lies with the subject of substance abuse. Quite frankly, I need work! But, I don’t want to consider just any type of work. Been there and have done that. I want to be involved in some type of ministry where others are being helped by the experience I have received by my own substance abuse issues.
After working for IBM for almost twenty years and just about as many afterward in various other capacities, I would like the last remaining years of my working life to be where my passion falls: helping others. From the very early days of prison ministry and later in providing financial information and now to sharing because I care about those caught in addiction(s), more specifically substance abuse, I find myself at crossroads wondering what it is, exactly, I’m being called to do. I believe God told me I would not have to worry about being homeless or hungry if I wrote and published my book, which I did, but I’m not seeing exactly where and what I should do now. So, I put this plea “out there” if you could use someone like me who would like to learn the business of helping others overcome their struggle of substance abuse, I’d be interested in hearing from you.
